The lore of Fairy Vials takes place on a planet called Asteria. Before life existed, a planet with extravagant and magical crystals called Averia was struck by an asteroid. The debris from the collision formed what is now known as Asteria. From space, the planet of Asteria appears as a diamond-shaped, iridescent color of beauty, due to the reflective nature of the enchanted crystals within Asteria. When sunlight struck these crystals, reflective nature of these natural jewels created a turtle spirit and its shadow, the first magical spirits of Asteria.

As life began to form on Asteria, these enchanted spirits distributed their magic to living creatures such as humans, animals, and new spirits. Therefore, all magical entities on this planet derive their abilities from the crystals of Asteria. Magical beings will often situate in areas of strong crystal cores, which have now become mapped as Realms. These realms are not accessible by those without magical ability.

Early texts speak of two spirits, a turtle and its shadow that orbited around the Asteria eons before the existence of humans. These spirits brought with them unstable weather and natural destruction if they came in contact, which hurt the inhabitants. The two spirits realized their destructive powers and decided to protect Asteria by circling around the atmosphere at opposite ends, remaining lonely and apart from each other for thousands of years.
Unable to be seen by non-magical beings and unable to be with each other, the turtles were overwhelmed with solitude. They began to spread their magic over the landscape, populating the world with magical creatures and as a side effect, humans with magical abilities as well. In present day, the turtles are now visible to magical beings and slightly visible to those without magical abilities. One travels the sky while the other travels beneath ocean, only to switch places and catch a glimpse of each other every lunar calendar year. Having used up the majority of their magic, the turtles have shrunk to the size of an island. Their shells are made of glass and encase a population of magical creatures within them. A great tragedy will occur if the turtle spirits are brought in contact.
✦ Rise of Fairy Vials ✦

In the Year 300, Fairy Vials began to populate Asteria even more, but they were met with great foes. From giant creatures that fed on the weak to savage Hunters who claimed right to all land, Fairy Vials had nowhere to call home. Only the strongest survived, the weak left to perish. As one of the first awakened Fairy Vials, Stardust Mimosa also fought for her survival. At a time when Mervials could barely hold their own against beasts of the sea, she trained her magic under strong mythical creatures who taught her how to survive. And when she came upon land, she saw firsthand the suffering of her people against new foes - humans and hunters. Fairy Vials lived in a disjointed world, and she was determined to change this. She sought out the Fairymaker and demanded he create vials to awaken as soldiers. She used her army to conquer lands and establish towns for all Fairy Vials in land, sea, and air. Our community no longer lived disjointed but instead as one. By Year 600, Fairy Vials joined the ranks of the strongest three societies in Asteria.
✦ Discovery of Averia ✦

The Year 950 was a fascinating time for Asteria. A portal pond was discovered leading to a planet called Averia, where gentle angelic healers called Auramis resided within floating cathedrals. Researchers found evidence that Asteria derived from Averia, likely from an asteroid collision. The current theory is that when the asteroid struck Averia, the impact separated a part of Averia which became Asteria. It also left a concave surface on both planets with crystals at the very bottom. Water slowly filled the area to create a pond in each world. The connection of the crystals in both worlds maintains a portal between Averia and Averia, thus forming the "portal pond." Due to the refractive nature of crystals, the pond sparkles when the water's surface is disturbed, unique to only portal ponds. With the discovery of the portal pond, both Aurami and Fairy Vials sent ambassadors to establish a relationship between the species. Aurami and Fairy Vials now maintain a friendly relationship as allies.
✦ The Great War ✦

Hunters are a special human clan with bloodline abilities that allow them to use aura to tame and fuse with dragons. Since the Birth of Magic, they have used their abilities to claim land for their own in an imperialistic centuries-long war with Fairy Vials, Humans, and any species which stands in their way. Their most recent and violent attack was in the Year 1000 in which they waged a war against Fairy Vials and Aurami. Despite the war lasting for a mere 5 days, the impact left by the war was substantial, earning it the name, The Great War. The Hunter's attack was led in three parts. They first sent a smaller team to target the portal pond connecting Averia and Asteria with the goals of obtaining crystal cores from Averia and weakening the protective barrier around the Juliette realm. Once succeeding in taking out a skilled Fairy Vial Oracle who guards the portal pond and protects the Juliette Realm with barrier magic, their army took advantage of the weakened barrier and rampaged the Juliette Kingdom with aerial attacks from dragons and an ambush on ground from fused Hunters. Had the Juliette Realm crystal cores been destroyed, Fairy Vials would have lost a large chunk of source of our magical abilities, aura. However, Prince Celio defended the kingdom and its people with his Diamond Fortification magic, making the entire kingdom’s walls and buildings as strong as diamond. He and his loyal army are a large part of the few casualties associated with the war. The Great War was brought to an end after Stardust Mimosa summoned her giant tridents from the ocean's floor and speared the Hunters and their dragons, including their leader. Titled Fairy Vials and Aurami conjured a high scale magical circle to trap any remaining Hunters and sealed them forever. The Hunters were forced to retreat and anyone who chose to remain was not spared of Stardust Mimosa's anger.
Despite Stardust Mimosa and Prince Celio's best efforts, the Hunters left chaos behind them. The portal pond was destroyed, and it was later discovered that the home of the Fairymaker, the Sky Palace, had been attacked. Nothing remained but fairy dust, and the Fairymaker was announced missing. The aftermath left several Aurami and Fairy Vials stranded in the other's world. As a sign of respect, Fairy Vials built a statue of Aurami to celebrate their valiant efforts in the war, while Aurami decorated their former portal pond with flowers to mourn the lost Aurami and their connection to the Fairy Vial world. In the 1 year anniversary of the Great War, Fairy Vials and Aurami in both worlds gathered with each other. They sang the song of their companions, which resonated across the galaxy and reformed the connection between the worlds. A new portal pond was formed and again, Aurami and Fairy Vials were re-united.
✦ Resurrection of the Sky Palace ✦

The Sky Palace was the previous floating abode of the Fairymaker and his personal Fairy Vial attendants. After his diasppearance, Stardust Mimosa declared a state of emergency. Though defeated, the Hunters as well as any other parties wishing to take advantage of the weakened state of Fairy Vials remained a risk to her community. No longer able to request the Fairymaker to create strong vials to awaken as soldiers, Stardust Mimosa made a decision. She decided to refurbish the Sky Palace as a school for training Fairy Vials in anticipation of future attacks by enemies. Two types of letters were sent. The first letters were addressed to titled Fairy Vials, requesting them to give the letters to any young, untrained Fairy Vials they took notice of. The second letters were enchanted with a magic to find Fairy Vials with potential and invite them to the Sky Palace. Using these two methods, Stardust Mimosa now awaits the coming of the Sky Palace students.
Magic brought such a huge change to the lands that the world began to re-record their timeline in Year 0, the Birth of Magic. 1 year in Asteria is 100 years in Averia.

A mysterious asteroid struck the planet of Averia, causing a large chunk to break off and form what is now known as, Asteria

440 million years ago | Dawn of the Turtle and its Shadow
Averia found itself within a solar system that centers around a large star known as, the Sun. This solar system rests within the Atelier d'étoile Galaxy (Workshop of Stars). The reflection of light from the Sun hitting the crystals on Asteria created the Turtle and its Shadow, the first bearers of crystal magic.

Year 0 | Birth of Magic
In this year, the turtle spirits bestowed magic upon the lands, granting several humans and creatures the ability to use magic.

Year 300 | A Leader Emerges
Stardust Mimosa expanded the first Fairy Vial Realm, bringing together the community.

Year 600 | The Strongest Three
Over time, the Hunters, the Celestians, and the Fairyvials arose as the three strongest magical communities. They created their own respective realms.

Year 950| The Discovery of Aurami
A portal pond leading to the sister planet, Averia, was discovered and so were the origins of the planet of Asteria.

Year 1000 | The Great War and the Disappearance of the Fairymaker
Hunters of Asteria waged war against Fairy Vials and Aurami. The Fairymaker disappeared and the Hunters lost their ancestor. Tensions grew stronger.

Year 1010 | The Resurrection of the Sky Palace
The Sky Palace is resurrected as a training school for Fairy Vials to prevent worse casualties of future wars.

✦ THE FAIRYMAKER ✦
​
The Fairymaker's origins are unknown. Rumors say that he possessed a unique power from birth to create glass that awakened as fairies, thus earning him the title of The Fairymaker. At a time when magic was rare, the Fairymaker was shunned by his human parents and their village. He ran away and lived alone with his creations. He slowly populated Asteria with more Fairy Vials and is the reason for our existence. We must find him quickly.
✦ STARDUST MIMOSA ✦

With great strength and intelligence under her belt, Mimosa was the first to begin creating safe havens for other fairy vials that lived in the oceans like her. When the time came that she realized there were land-dwelling FVs, she worked together with The Fairymaker to conquer land for even more fairy vial communities, creating strong soldiers along the way with his help. Two individuals, under her direct guidance, rise up in power to lead realms she designates for them, as well as trusted others. Unfortunately, it is her decision to seal away one of these two far away, to be forgotten about much like the fallen soldiers who helped her pave the way to power. Before The Great War, with the violence amongst the three prevalent races at an all-time low, Stardust Mimosa is thought of as a mere legend, with her prodigy Celio having taken on most of her duties, before eventually splitting these duties with other great rulers of the realms. Mimosa returns to help them gain a victory and end the The Great War—and now, her goal is to train young, promising fairy vials to become as strong as those who came before them.
✦ SPACE BOY ✦

Space Boy works as a teacher at the Sky Palace and as a Maestro for Mimosa. He is very hardworking, but also can also have a sort of childish innocence to him. Raised as a soldier for Mimosa, being made to travel through much of Asteria, Space Boy has a lot of experience in the ways of the world. Space Boy rose to a position of leadership in the army, but inevitably, his distaste for fighting led him to step down to settle down for a quiet life running and bartending the GloCLUB in Noirfae. However, with the arrival of the Great War, Space Boy was called upon once again by Mimosa to help in the fight and teaching of new students at the Sky Palace.
✦ CELIO FAUST ✦

Awakened many centuries ago, Celio Faust was raised so he may be the first ruler of the land-based realms under Stardust Mimosa's guidance. Though originally just a student, he looks upon Mimosa as both a teacher, and a mother-like figure, holding the highest form of respect for her, and trusting her almost implicitly. In the present day, the lands he rules over belong to that of the Juliette Realm, which doubles as one of the largest land-based fairy vial realms.
✦ THE SEALED ONE ✦

Awakened at the same time as Celio, the sealed one was trained alongside the other Fairy Vial for the same purpose—to rule, and help push Stardust Mimosa’s goal in conquering more land for communities for fellow Fairy Vials to safely live within. He was the first ruler of the air-based realms under Stardust Mimosa's guidance. Textbooks say he ruled with an iron fist, and was overall much crueler than his counterpart—favoring a stern approach to his relationships, as opposed to with being friendly and merciful. His power grew, and once deemed too dangerous, Mimosa calls for his sealing. It is unknown where he lies now, his life long forgotten over the centuries past, at least outside of any book—and is thought of more as a fairy tale, a boogeyman, rather than a being who ever actually existed….
