Are you new to Asteria? You can learn about our Fairy Realms here and perhaps find a home for your Fairy Vial. Here is some basic information.
​
There are 12 Major Fairy Realms and over 30 Minor Fairy Realms in Asteria. Fairy Realms are built around a crystal core that fuels magic. The location of the core is generally kept a secret. What defines the borders of a Fairy Realm is a magical barrier which protects against the entry of dragons and other dangers. Generally, Fairy Oracles (see Titles) create and maintain this barrier. Minor realms require only 1-3 oracles. Major realms require at least 10.

Within realms exist towns of various sizes. These towns are populated by Fairy Vials, Magicians (humans with magical abilities), and magical creatures (talking and non-talking). Generally, non-fairy vials need to gain special permits to enter a Fairy Realm from the respective Oracle.

With this in mind, please feel free to read our town descriptions below! Keep in mind that some towns, especially those underwater, require special living conditions and may not be suitable for every Fairy Vial.

✦ Juliette Realm, Major Realm ✦
The Juliette Realm is a large, vast realm that overlooks a significant portion of the lands in Asteria and is headed by a kind monarch, The Pink Prince known as Celio Faust. The realm features many cities along the edges of the center portion of the realm.

✦ The Juliette Kingdom is in the center of the realm. Celio’s castle (and home) resides here. The kingdom is home to many types of fairy vials, but it is generally seen that all residents have some form of rose filler--and even more primarily, they tend to be pink! If their rose/s is/are not pink, they will usually have some other pink filler, or will just dress themselves up in pink! This phenomenon began due to the enchanting gardens. Outsiders are not shunned. The rest of the realm, however, is made up of all different sorts of fairy vials and magical creatures alike.

✦ Saccaria, the City of Sweets, is around the outer border of the Juliette realm, right on the outer edge. It contains buildings and landmarks of only your wildest and sweetest dreams. Notably there is a sizeable park at its center, with many structures for younger fairy vials and other magical beings alike; there is also a singular, large tree that glistens and sparkles in the sunlight, as it is made almost entirely of sugar crystals.

✦ Cherrium is a Fairy Vial town based in wellness and good luck. The town is Asian-themed with various sauna and temples available for relaxation and recuperation. Each temple serves a purpose in granting good luck, good earnings, good health, etc. The saunas also have different types of water imported from various places to provide the appropriate desired effect to the customers (ie, more youthful skin, full body relaxation, bigger boobs, etc). The town is known for its annual celebration with the arrival of the Cherry Blossom Islands, a collection of floating islands in Cherrium characterized by its beautiful abundance of cherry blossom trees and waterfalls cascading down its edges. These islands only appear once a year during the spring and are home to the annual Spring Festival for all fairy vials to come and enjoy.

✦ Cité des Mélodies lies within the north-western section of Asteria that has a huge amount of smaller towns dedicated to specific genres/tastes. The name Cité des Mélodies was acquired from a literal French translation of City of Melodies; a fitting name to unite the land that's passionate for fine arts. Multiple towns that formed Cité des Mélodies are formed in a way that resembles a giant Treble Clef when looking at it from above!

✦ There is a remote island out in the ocean, its closest location being Cherrium (though they are still far apart) that is entirely uninhabited--well, aside from the fauna, which is quite varied; if you look hard enough, you may even discover a species of your wildest imagination. The size of the island is about that of a city, and it features smaller-scale mountains and a lush forest in its center. There are currents that protect the island from any wayward explorers, only marine life (mermaids included) knowing the way to the land. It is said that if you ARE able to make it to the island, you can hear the soft voice of a child in the form of a song mingling with the ocean waves.

✦ Phosphine, Minor Realm✦
The Phosphine realm is a realm that awakens in the night. Basking in the beauty of star and moonlight, towns in this realm can be most appreciated after the sun sets. The realm is guarded by an oracle named Persephone, who uses a crystal willow tree with which she can observe each town within their respective orb.

✦ Deiarca is a city made of white marble and pale pink crystal buildings in an ancient Roman style. Sprawling villas and shops spread outward from a central temple atop a cliff, where Persephone resides. Constellation butterflies fly around at night, similar to fireflies, while during the day they converge and rest in special magenta blossoms that adorn the central temple. The city is known for its production of unique pure, white, almost glowing cloth, as well as specializing in intricate sculpture and metalwork.

✦ Noirfae is a coastal city of darkness, bordering on the Deep Sea. This city exists in a part of Asteria where sunlight rarely reaches the land. Instead, there’s a constant illumination via moonlight, aided by various flora and fauna which have evolved bioluminescent properties. Living in darkness allows the city to appreciate all forms of light, moonlight, starlight, bioluminescence, etc. The gravitational pull in Noirfae is unique in that a special magical circle lowers gravitational force, allowing residents and visitors to float/hop freely. Glass buildings shaped as domes with loose ribbons also float in place, resembling jellyfish. Their roofs magnify the sky, providing a clearer view of the galaxy above. In order to not float away, residents use magical circles to create a gravitational pull between their feet and the ground. The nightlife of this town never rests!

✦ New Glam City is a large Eastern-style town with strong modern vibe that was founded by a model vial named Regina. While trendy and known as a city that never truly sleeps, New Glam is the most popular fashion city that prides itself for all types of beauty inside and out. It is also known for being the only trendy spot where Fairy Vials can purchase exclusive fashionable clothing made in the Human realm and for being Asteria’s largest (and proudest) clothing distributor.

✦ Starlia is a quaint hidden village located in the outskirts of the [Glowing Realm that doesn’t have a name yet]; concealed behind waterfalls, through forests, and on a high up clearing overlooking the rest of the realm. It’s existence is known by few and passed on by word of legend, as is how to find it. If one is fortunate enough to discover it, the town is a wonder of mystical beauty. Starlia is characterized by its many twinkling fairy lights, lanterns, and jar lights illuminating the village-- all magically fueled by Asteria’s crystals. Many magical creatures of legend also reside in this tranquil town, often cared for by its residents and protected from the dangers of the outside world. At the center of Starlia lies the Wish Temple, a place where creatures from across the realm seek to write down their wishes in hopes they would be granted by the resident priestess. Many are drawn to Starlia for it’s gorgeous scenery, delightful stargazing spots, and the Wish priestess of course, so its location has become more known in recent times. However, it still remains quite elusive, a treasure only meant to be found by those who truly desire it.

✦ Yuena is an island with a special relationship to the moon. The island has natural and magical barriers powered by Asteria’s moons; volatile, violent, and quickly shifting tides result from moon magic. A glamour conceals it from sight unless exact coordinates are given. The island is known for its rabbits. Most of the rabbits on the island are extremely skittish to most humans and Fairy Vials. However, they quickly grow affectionate towards Fairy Vials whose fillers are rabbit or moon-related or are gentle by nature. The island is full of special flowers and crops that can only grow in the presence of strong moonlight. Many of these flowers and crops are required for specific potions. Due to the moon’s influence, many of the rabbits on the island are magical. They are vital to many of the island’s functions (they fertilize crops and contribute to the protective barrier), and their luxurious coats produce strong fibers that are often used to weave weather-resistant clothing. There are also special rabbits with vibrant fur softer than silk to typically spun into popular cloth (these are delivered to different towns/realms). Rabbits on Yuena are also talented with many healing and protection spells, some entirely undiscovered, but their otherwise low magic level means that rabbits usually only use their spells once or twice during their lifetime. Rabbits strong enough to become a Fairy Vial’s companion are an exception. Fairy Vials who make their homes on Yuena are careful not to deplete the island’s resources. Rumors say that the island’s guardian is whimsical and fickle, often causing trouble for no reason at all.
✦ Sol, Minor Realm ✦
Solaris is a realm that is known for its sand-filled lands and scorching heat. Only those willing to live a life under a burning sun seem to enjoy life in what looks like miles and miles of sand. They place has constantly changing sand dunes that make it near impossible to properly map it out and ruins far as the eye can see.
✦ Basar del sol is a town with an oasis as its spotlight with ever-flowing water and shops and stands that sport brightly colored tarps. Many merchants make their home here and they make their name known in the art of trades. While most won’t turn down a fair amount of coin many are known to only trade treasures for treasures thus, making the town quite the place to find interesting and never seen trinkets. Aside from the centerpiece Oasis and Tarps, there are many sandstone made homes. Most of which were built to go down into the ground rather than building up on it. This allows for relief from the heat as houses are partially in the ground. Vials who reside here are hardworking and unafraid of a bit of sweat when it comes to getting things done. They are tough-skinned and often time expose a good amount of their skin to deal with the heat. Many have taken a liking to Egyptian motifs from the human world and have adjusted it to their own lifestyle.
✦ Three Tiered Islands, Minor Realm✦
The Three Tiered Floating islands are named as such due to their resemblance to human wedding cake. In order to protect the Bridal Vials* from those who attempted to hunt and enslave them due to their beauty, the Islands were raised from the Aquariia Major Ocean.
The Floating Islands travel in sync with the tiers and are controlled by the Navigator Vial. The Bridal Vials make special visits to weddings to provide blessings for the union. They also often adopt abandoned or lost Fairy Vial children to raise and nurture the young. The island generally consists of majority Bridal vials, young children adopted by the Bridal Vials, and strong Fairy Vials who act as additional protectors of the islands.
*The Bridal Vials are a set of Fairy Vials created after the Fairy Maker was invited to a wedding for the first time. Inspired by infinite-lasting vows, he decided to create Fairy Vials with the purpose of protecting, cherishing, and celebrating love. These vials are known as the Bridal Vials. Each one has been created or inspired by a wedding the Fairymaker attended (or crashed).

✦ Mermaid Coves, Major Realm ✦
The Mermaid Coves are a hidden network of safe grounds for mermaids. These coves are known for their aquatic stones and special water (healing, immortality, etc.) Hidden along various oceans of Asteria, it’s considered good luck to find a mermaid cove. However, beware that some Mermaid Coves have traps for trespassers!
